New Way to Make Money with a Myspace Blog

March 3rd, 2008

This is actually an excerpt from my own ebook, “Play Dirty on Myspace” at http://www.playdirtyonmyspace.com

———————————————————————-

Myspace gives you the option of customizing the top space of your blog. Some people may write something cute and stupid…Me, I put ad banners for my affiliate links there. But, I make sure that the stuff I’m promoting is related to my blog and the readers I send to it.

Open up your myspace blog and click on “Customize”. Look for a box that allows you to “Add Your Own Header HTML” and add a banner from the program you’re promoting (w/ your affiliate link).

Now, you have a permanent ad posted on your blog for all your
readers to see!

I hope that your blog is specific to a specific niche of interest. If not,
create a new profile and make a new blog that targets a group of
individuals based on what you’re advertising.

Here’s how you can REALLY promote your blog and the ads that it
contains…

Think of a keyword that describes what your niche is all about. Now,
goto the Myspace Groups (just click “Groups” on the menu bar). At
the bottom will be a keyword search. Type in your keyword and you’ll
see groups that are interested and based around your keyword. Go
into each of these groups, and add these people as friends.

But, it doesn’t stop there. After sending a friend request, go back to
their profile page, and click on “View All Blog Entries”. Go into their
blog and click “Invite to My Blog”. So, not only will they see your
friend request, they’ll see your blog subscription request. This is sooo
helpful for promoting your blog, because once these friends
subscribe, they’ll be notified of every time you post a blog. So, they’ll
visit your blog and be bombarded with your ad at the top of the
screen.

So, with your blog, add friends that are related to your blog by
searching for them in myspace groups, and then invite them to
subscribe to your blog. Another place to find individuals that are
niche related is to cruise throught the actual myspace forums and
classifieds. Find a folder in the forums that’s related to what you’re
promoting and add those people. Do a keyword search in the
classifieds section and add those people, too.

Now, when it comes down to actually posting to your blog, write
articles related to what you’re promoting. You can easily find articles
from www.ezinearticles.com and just repost them to your blog. You
have to keep fresh content in your blog so that your readers won’t
unsubscribe. When they do that, you have just lost a fresh lead.

Also, once you post a blog, drop a bulletin and let your whole friends
list know about it. The bulletin is a great way to reach out to one and all, and let them know about your blog posts.

Instant Myspace Niche Marketing Strategy

March 3rd, 2008

This is taken from my other blog:
http://tm-harris.blogspot.com/2008/02/instant-myspace-niche-marketing-tactic.html

===============================================

Here’s how you can instantly dominate any niche on myspace quickly.
Bear with me as this is the abridged version. I don’t wanna waste your time boring you.

Go into the ‘Groups’ tab when you’re logged onto myspace.com. If you don’t have an account, it’s free to signup, and people of all ages have a myspace account.

Go browsing around for groups on myspace. I recently saw a myspace group all about bodybuilding that has 144,872 members signed up to it. That’s friggin’ CRAZY! And it’s an active group too. People post there every single minute of the day.

Well, you could easily do a post on there to start a discussion amongst the interested.

Something similar to the question I asked you yesterday.

“What is your biggest concern when it comes to ________ ?”

And mention that you might be interested in getting into the niche as a hobby or interest.

Keep an eye on the replies to your post. Those who reply are basically telling you what their concerns are. This gives you a basis to find affiliate products related to their concerns.

Then, you can simply post a blog all about your findings related to some concerns within the niche. In the post, mention your affiliate links. You could publish the post to a blogger.com blog or a wordpress.com blog instead. They’re both free.

To be honest, myspace hates Clickbank, and any link going back to them from myspace won’t go through. That’s how myspace screwed them over.

So, you could use your myspace blog to simply show a snippet of your real blogs that you published outside of myspace.

Then you can go back into the group you originally posted in, and drop a line about your myspace blog or your other free blogs…it doesn’t matter.

You’ll be giving the group exactly what they’re looking for. You’ve done the market research, the product selection, and you’re giving it to them using the open, user-friendly atmosphere of blogs.

This worked for me so well when it came to other niches. My thing was the dating niche. C’mon…everybody needs love, and you’d be surprised what people will do for it. This includes paying for ebooks, dating sites, seminars, workshops, DVDs…there’s so much opportunity in that niche, that I was caking a few hundred dollars a month from it…using just myspace.
=========================================

I know you’re excited to learn something new. Especially for checking out a blog. LOL

But if you want to learn more about myspace marketing, I have two good resources you could read that are dirt cheap.

My guide, “Play Dirty on Myspace”

Theo Baskind’s guide, “The Myspace Ace”

Even if you do nothing else…re-read this article and try it out. What have you got to lose? Myspace is free to use and make money from…especially if you use the tactic I just showed you.

I mean, the market research part can easily take you a few minutes to do. And you can do it for several niches every day. There are millions of groups on myspace, and many of them are very active. The idea is to be involved in the groups that show the last 5 posts being made in the same day. If you go to a group today, then the last 5 group posts should have today’s date. Otherwise, it’s not very active group.
